Stopped by this sushi spot passing through Portland. The service was exceptional. The staff was polite and attentive. Their food was tasty for sure. There was a small issue but they resolved it immediately and to me that's more than I can hope for these days. I'm very pleased with my visit and will definitely come back again.

Not an authentic japanese restaurant. Not elderly friendly place you have to go upstairs Blant miso soup hard wakame on it.just blew that away. Eggplant miso is not cooked well. Not a good experience.not going back

Walked in Saturday 10/12/19 at 4:57pm....front door was unlocked. First word from server "We are actually not currently open but let me check if we can serve you" Server disappeared for 3min then came back to let us know they are open. We walked out. First impression is key and the fact the doors were open should tell everyone working inside that they are open. #Fail

Love this place. The portions are large and everything tastes very fresh. Am a fan of their chicken teriyaki, usually take it to go for lunch in the office. Super friendly service and always smiling staff. Been coming here for over 10 years.

This is my favorite sushi place in Portland. It's not the fanciest, but the people are so nice that it's worth the trip! I love that they have gluten free soy sauce and most of their sauces are house made so they are safe for celiacs. The fish is very fresh and they have a great sake menu with lots of local and Japanese varieties! I also love their cucumber salad and how friendly all of the staff are at Mio!
